Our special guest today is Anthony, pretty boy, taylor Anthony. How's it going? Doing great paul man, it's got done. Training a healthy breakfast like Starbucks. There you go. All right, so let's just go. Let's just go back a little bit. How did you get involved in fighting in the beginning? Well back in 2014, you know, I used to dance and it's triple yeah, you know, um Not no, no before that fun. I used to work at T mobile and I had no drive, no ambition and I don't know what I wanted to do, but they love playing. That's what I used to work. I used to play. That's what I came for. Infinity. Gentlemen approaching that James lee hardman say I see that you're persistent going to the gym than we ever thought about. Maybe what the hell's in the make up, you know? So he's like come on by to my gym. I'll show you what it is. So I did, I fell in love with the sport and I did my amateur circuit. So then, You know, me and my girl broke up in 2015 and nowhere to go, had nowhere to stay. I ended up messing Antonio, she end up in san Antonio Inoki off the internet facebook. You man come down to my gym, you know, we'll give you a place to stay to train with us calling the brotherhood. I was like, okay, I ain't got a job. Like we'll find you a job and started laughing. So I go down to L A AJ, gets me a job at the strip club, you know, to a mutual friend and hey,...

I'm stripping all of a sudden after that I started fighting in all the time a belt or after I started stripping. So you know, things, things comes into play when you, when you have a positive attitude. Yeah, for sure. Your life's pretty crazy. Uh, so you grew up in the bay area, correct? So tell me, tell me like what it was like they're growing up in the bed. Well, it was pretty chill. You know, I never had a rough childhood. Then you get arrested and you know, it was a good kid just went around with the wrong proof. Well I would say I hung down. Ooh, I need my cruise. We didn't now that, you know, Um, we dripping a little 35 alameda and you know, play sports growing up three months, I was always outlets and the family was always out product Yeah, for sure. And then yeah, just going back to your mm a debut, I mean you make your MLB debut on bellator one of the biggest stages um just like, what was that like? Just did you even have, you had, Yeah, you got a few amateur fights and things like that. Um, but were you like nervous to get on the biggest stage like that? More excited than nervous, you know? You know, who knows what I was going to do it. I don't know that doing this was going to leave me to where I'm at now, you know, six years later, you know, who knew what would have happened and Social media being such a big platform in 2021 where you have to have access to every social media outlet is growing larger than it did in 2015. So you know, I can't say my life is definitely been crazy. She knows the past six years. Yeah. What is your like mentality when you just like think about like you, you took fights with like big names like James, Gallagher, Gallagher and Adam uh brax uh and things like that, like what you...

...just didn't turn any fights down, wow, you know, I had it, it's like the UFC, you know, you're sitting in your body, you can turn that damn right, it's your job to get the win or not. You know, and I got the opportunity to fight alan bollocks and James Gallagher, I had the same opportunities as they did. Any one of us could have one, you know, it's not like I was fighting for the title right after that. I just amount and the amount of opportunities they did chances of winning, you know, it's just they had a little better driving me and fight, you know, so I was, I'm good mentally where I met now because I was able to learn from those mistakes. You know those losses. Yeah, definitely. I mean especially now uh, you back up what you just said on the count of your on a five fight win streak. Um, and then you obviously been training with AJ Mckee and baby slice and Antonio mckee. So what's it been like there at that gym? I see all your guys posting seems like you guys have a true brotherhood out there. Oh absolutely, we're brothers, you know, we all started together, me AJ spice, you know, Antonio 2000 and 15 when I met A J 2015 when I met slice uh, and we just all connected, you know, we have each other's back wherever we go. We show up AJ spiky and in Israel, I'm gonna go to Israel, support a guy is fighting in indiana, I'm gonna go to India and support, you know, I try to do my best, we try to do our best to support each other wherever we are those girls. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I know you, you just told me the other day that you flew out from Puerto rico back to uh L. A. Just go check out his fight. Absolutely. How crazy was that fight? What about our kids? Um...

...well that's where nine our life, it wasn't bad but not when you're sitting in economy plus, I mean in in the main cabin, it was horrible, but it's good to see my brother win and just knowing that like even though ages so focused on the fight, but no one that I came out there just to see him fight and support. I felt like that kind of gave him a good confident dudes. Like yo my boy Anthony came from Puerto rico, my teammate, you know jay, I came here to train that I felt like I also helped with the competent boost right there too. Yeah, definitely. Did you think he was going to win that fast? Yeah, I already know, I already know it because the way I mean I've been playing with eight days, 2016 mean age has been talking about this day ever since like yeah, we don't want any smashes. You know like I'm the same height, they have the same region football. Me A. J. We spiral all the time. No, nothing new. Yeah, well at all. Yeah. Crazy. Um and then yeah, just going into now obviously the big news is you're fighting Tommy fury. Just tell me how all this came about. I had a five point out, July three in Germany for the title training, were in June getting ready for the fight. And then, uh, I mean, you can't reached out jeans, 18 was like, hey, um, you want to come be jake's main sparring partner? Sure, okay, come up to four weeks or fly you out? They flew me out, you know, I canceled my fight in Germany, you know, so I'm there for extended time, like four weeks now we're going into, uh, july, you know, I have some people, occasional words that...

...didn't plan out. Then all of a sudden jake and was like, hey, I got some good news, I want to tell them. I'm like, okay, cool. You know, this is after I told him I'm going to stay and help them out. Like, I didn't have the time, and I'm like, yeah, absolutely, that's the guys would call me up and he was like, I want to give you the opportunity to beat this guy, change your life. Fight. This guy, beat him up. I was blown away. I'm like, man, as I thought about it when I went home that night. Yeah, It's really sad because I was thinking two things they could have called anybody else in the world. She's staying with first, you can talk to my host name, you can call ingestion. He could have caught baby flies or any other big names in the main fighter or boxers trained with, but he chose me, you know, and salome also, you can chose anybody else in the world to fight on that car with him, but he chose me. That tells you sample, that tells you what my work ethic is and it tells you what my stuff that is not, I'm not gonna say I'm a world class boxer or a world class and a fighter, possibly I can say that, but I'm just saying that I'm doing enough to put myself in a position where not not and if I keep doing more, I'm gonna be in a better position and now yes, yeah, definitely. What has your relationship been like with jay paul? Since I know 1st 1st it was kind of like you called them out to Spar um, and then you sparred them and then I guess obviously you guys became friends. So what's it been like just training with them and just like your relationship with them, like outside the ring. Good. Uh, um, you shouldn't...

...have nothing but respect, stay with you treat me as family. I got to sit down and eat with him and his family. I got to meet mom, such a wonderful person. You know, you brought me around his team, the invited many charities and then to help host them like man, like this experience is real. The fact that he gave me so much love well, and he showed me so many new things in life, like, and gave me an opportunity to change my life too. He's a, he, he presented the opportunities, You know, it's like thinking, hey, you can, you can lead a horse to the water, but you can't force the horse and you drink it. You know, it's kind of like that saying, but more like, hey, here's the opportunity to go get it. I'm giving you a chance to go get this opportunity and he's giving it to, you know, I can say it could have been anybody else in the world, but me, yeah, and the world sees it, they see that he sees, you see the potential that I bring on the fund. I'm exciting and I got a skill set. Yeah, yeah, definitely. And then just like, you know, everyone always knocks jake paul, but if you want to be real, he's one of the best marketers in the world. Like what have you learned from him? Like marketing wise? Um, everything, um, learning for aspects of, um, greater content. Youtube chopping stuff up, Having a team that you, you need a team. It's hard to just have, it's hard just to do everything on your own because it's time consuming when you have such a media creator and you have someone who does video editing all that stuff. It makes it either all you just need somebody to record you and then you have their teams chop it up, they do what they need to do content, all that makes it so much easier, you...

...know? Um but I'm still learning, Well, I'm still learning, you know what? I'm an m m a fighter, you know, I'm also a boxing, you know, I'm still learning to social media part aspect of it. Yeah, yeah, definitely. And then, um, just going to, I know you said the other day, you're starting a film, like a mini mini documentary about like leading up to the fight. So when is that going to come out? Um, we're gonna try to pump something out this week, this weekend. It's gonna be like a series, like a miniseries. Yeah, yeah, like a little mini, get some stuff pumped out for the fans of everything, you know? Just get it going. Yeah. Then going back to your fight with Tommy fury. It's boxing obviously I believe it's six rounds. Um for those that don't know, you did have a boxing match in 2000 and 17. So you're not gonna be cold turkey up in there. What was your experience? Like um when you first stepped in the boxing ring in 2017, I was broken and damaged, man, about to be homeless. I needed a place, I need the money for rent. The mother hit ME, Hey, we want to make 700 bucks. I'm like sure, you know, I ain't got no money. You make great was going to fight. You know, like tomorrow I'm not cool, well wait 160 something. I'm like, okay, cool. I'm one, I'm 1 68 right now. Let's do it. So I went and did it. I lost a split decision for a whole time hometown bag. He went on to have a record of six and 2 Shit happens, you know? Uh, since 2017 was a very dark here. I turned it all around in 2018. Yeah, I got it. But what, like, like what is the, I know I asked you before about your mentality, but like, what is it about you that you, you just like take a fight like that's just like, that's not normal that you just take a fight like a day before or like in a boxing match and you never even fought...

...in the boxing match or like the M. M. A fighter and you're fighting like top guys. Yeah. You know, I looked on the floor when you had to sing years ago, back in 2013. So I have the opportunity and changed my life and my family life With these two hands. I just need the opportunity By working hard with these two and I stuck with it. You know, I'm stuck with. Do you need that these are the opportunity, if this is the reason to be the way out of life and success and have successes fighting then I'm using my God given talent, you know, God didn't make me no fighting to be a fighter. I'm a fighter for a reason, you know, I'm on the big stage for a reason, I'm putting myself in the late stages for a reason, I'm more popular, majority of guys in double tour, I'm more popular than majorities, guys in new york city being on top 15 guys, you know, I'm marketing myself, I'm putting myself out there, you know, and like I said, if I can changed my life financially released, then that's all the better. Yeah, for sure. All right, now, I know a lot of people are talking about the weight difference when you're when you're in a fight, Tommy fury, what do you say to them and like, how do you think the fight is gonna play out? Oh man, You know, I read everybody comments, I think it's funny, I'll engage just to be funny, you know, it doesn't doesn't block and you'll walk around and 1 85 1 night, you know, is that they don't know what happened to cut down on 1 45 1 55 to hell, they don't know that I just do it because I choose to 557, you know, I don't mind, I don't mind it, you know, we're both fighting at 1 80 it's not like he's walking around,...

It's not like he's walking around 200, lb, you know, and fight night, like I'm not worried about that for sure. Um, and then yeah, just going into like what, what do you, what advice would you give to? Like a younger fighter, like younger athlete? Like trying to, trying to make it, let's say take your time, develop your fundamentals before you add a little flavor into your, into your, your skill, fit the game, you know, learn the fundamental before you start down some lines, Muhammad Ali and doing the Roy johnson me learn the fundamentals. We need to learn the defense part of it, learn defense before you learn office in combat sport, learning we have a good defense your every counter. I like that you ready for some fun questions. How did you get the nickname? Pretty boy man. You know, fighting girls come up to your pretty boy. You never got hit. You know that's how I got that big thing. What's your, what's your favorite song right now? Oh man, I see scape by Bruno mars and Anderson Park. You should skate. Damn. I thought damn, I thought you were but I thought you were about to say skate by bia bro. No, no. You know, we could have had her walking out with you. Yeah. You know, you know Bs No, I personal train, you think she's fake. Yeah, I have to see your face. Oh you're sick. Oh my God, she, she got this song a whole lot of money and she just did a remix with Nicki Minaj. Uh You probably you probably heard it. Yeah, I probably did. I'm trying to I'm trying to have I'm trying to do a walk out with that. Or Bruno mars. I'm trying to get contacted. I messaged him on instagram trying to get into the...

...fight. All right. Yeah. So going into that. I saw um that viral one. I think it was I don't know where the fight. It wasn't in the U. S. Right? That fight that you had your clip, your pin video to your twitter. Yeah, we're like dancing on the girls. Yeah. The Rihanna. Where was that at? That was in England? Yeah. Yeah. All right. So that was a Dublin Ireland. Dublin Ireland. Yeah. Do you have any spectacles that you're going to walk out with for this foot? Oh no. I'm trying to get in contact with some people. I'm trying to get in contact with Bruno mars and it's a fat baby in Australia. You know, I'm probably doing anything else out there looking coming out for sure. All right, last one. What was something people don't know about you? Um I'm a comedian. I mean I think everybody started all that. I love to cook. I love that. Uh I like to dance like the same. I love the chop. That's more than one thing. You know, I don't want to hear. Yeah. Actually I got one last one. I know you're you travel a lot. Uh What's like your favorite place to go to Role name of? All right.
