This is the average to saverage podcast with Paul Garno, everyone in anyone, athletes, sweats and much more. What's up, everybody, I'm back for another episode of the average savage podcast. Or special guests, today's comedian cush, poppy cush, what's up? I was going. I'm good, chilling. Could you just tell us a little about yourself? From Chicago. I'm a comedian. I'm Italian, hundred percent Italian. Talk about various topics that people deal with, usually about relationships. Yeah, I think that's why people, a lot of people just like relating, gravitor, gravitate towards you. Yeah, assume so. I mean a lot of you know. I talked about how girls are crazy and you know, topics that, you know, people experience in our lives. Yeah, I mean I remember checking you out for the first time and just like all right, like all this shit he's talking about is like real, like it really happens. Yeah, I mean I talked about it off my own experiences or, you know, maybe a somebody, a buddy of mine, will tell me a story and I'll elaborate on it. You know, man, what's like the video process for you, like making like one of those videos or one of your like skit videos. Ski Videos Really Easy, you know. I just link up with a friend and somebody or somebody I want to work with, and we put our two creative minds together and make something. How long is it? Usually they take no more than like an hour. You guys just bang them out. Yeah, but car videos, when it's just me and the cars, a little longer because, you know, it's just I gotta you know, I don't know, I do I'm in there talking and I'm relaxing, I'm in my car, so nobody's rushing me. Yeah, you just go in your car and you're like, all right, I'm about to make one of these these videos. Well, no, if I've I got something on my mind that I want to talk about, then I let it out, you know. Yeah, and I don't really care. You know, a lot of people in this generation, I mean, I'm twenty five, I don't even hold yeah, but I'm twenty five and you know, I feel like a...

...lot of people in this generation are very sensitive and they're very you know, I mean as I'm not. I'm not, I'm not not okay with obviously, you know, certain things cross the line, but you know, when it comes to comedy, this, you know, compared to what it used to be, this generations, kind of you making it wax. So I kind of say what I gotta say and people can, people can take it out over they want, you know, but it's the truth and it's you know, it's just, you know, someone's got to say it, you know. Yeah, for sure. I mean everyone's going to have Peter Show, like doesn't really matter. Yeahs not even haters, it's just people. There's so people are like so offended nowadays, like a bubble. Yeah, I can remember that. I don't know if you ever time a movie in the kids in the bubble. Yeah, it was a John Re Volta or something. Yeah, yeah, I forgot. Yeah, I forgot who was. Yeah, that's what I mean. That's what it yeah, I mean everyone, everything. Everything's, you know, not right. Every like everything, everything has sone wrong with it. Basically that's what everyone find. It picks everything. It's just like I saw something like a post the other day and he said, like Broccoli's bad for you, like what? Like that doesn't make sense. Doesn't make any sense. See what was like like your breakthrough video that all of a sudden like you like blew up like last Christmas, I believe. You know, I just I talked to my car about how, you know, I think how the girls always go. Girls always say they want a good guy, that they go after the Vad guy, you know, doesn't make any sense. Yeah, and then how, like who picked it up? World started? Yeah, and then from their other other outlets, I'm assuming, picked it up. Yeah, and you know, I just kept going up and up and I got a pretty steady fan base now. Yeah, but what were you like when, like, what was your reaction when like all of a sudden, you but like what was the moment where you went from like, like how many followers did you have, and then all of a sudden, like it grew to like, I don't know whatever it threw to. It was it was I had, like...

I didn't even have a hundred thou and I just kept, you know, work, and then I kept putting the videos out. That's really what it's all about, is being consistent. You know people you know. If you don't, it's like coming to practice. If you don't, if you miss in practice, the coach isn't going to put you in the game. So you got to keep putting the videos us. Yeah, for sure. So it wasn't like it wasn't like a huge jump where you went from like a hundred K to like five hundred K and like a day or something, I was going up like K in a day. K and stuff like that was just going up steady over the past year, you know. Yeah, and what did you like think of all this? Were you like, this is nuts. Yes, it's crazy. I don't really still, I'm getting used to it. Still, things are changing. It's gotta adapt to it, you know. Yeah, for sure. And I know and all your videos you end it with a with the juice. So like what's good with this juice? I just like drinking juice. That if I'm yelling in my car lot, then I you know, I get parched at the end. So I just just sept the juice. How did you, how did you link up with like Supreme Patty and like wide neck and long neck and all these other social media influencers? I met Patty and mills as a while ago, maybe last year, but they we didn't really team up until, you know, like April or May, I like May, you know, and then over the summer and then long neck and wide neck. They kind of just came out of nowhere in the past. Well, long neck was doing it by himself, then they brought him along to and then wide neck came along. So it's kind of you know that they've been it's more recent for them, for sure. What's your experience been like, just like working with all those all those guys school, you know, I mean they're we all have our own weird personalities, but at the end of the day we're all normal people, you know. Yeah, for sure. And Yeah, I think, like what's the common thing that people like think you are? But you're...

...you're really not people. You know, I I yell a lot in my videos because I have a high energy and people think, you know, crazy, they think I'm a think I'm an Asshole, or they think, you know whatever. They think I'm this and that, but you know, I'm really not like that. I'm very personal, very chill, you know, a very late back person. I don't really talk much. It's just that's my you know how I am on the Camra, you know? Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I could already tell, like you're just like the chill guy. Is there like a secret like social media influencer, like cult? Not at all. I mean, everybody who does it kind of knows each other. But yeah, so what's that like? Is it just like you're just like DM and like people. You're just like I seen your videos are funny, like we should do something, like it's just like that, just like happens most of the time. Yeah, yeah, is there anyone? Yeah, you reached out with doubt to you and they like just like curved you, like said, curved. Now curved you. Yeah, not really, I mean unless, I mean, I've message like big celebrities. They'll they'll reply like salute and stuff, you know. Yeah, like, you know, like the rock follows me, messages me. Yeah, so that I saw. That was funny. That's pretty inspiring, as you would say. For sure, for sure. I know you're trying to do like the comedian thing too, but, like, would you ever go into like acting? Yeah, for sure, you know, it's a part of it, I guess. You know, I like to act. I like to help jokes some down. You know, I like doing. I'm really about like doing everything, to be honest. Anything that's doing entertaining, for sure. What about what was it like when you hit a million followers on instagram? Is Crazy. I was like, I couldn't even believe it. I'm motivated me, you know. I was like, you know, I got to do more now. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, why aren't? Why are you Verif I get probably it is because, you know, a lot of people they don't. You know, you see people with like tenzero followers and they got a blue check. Is Pretty much just because either one...

...they paid like five thousand, tenzero dollars for it for some guy who does it under the table or, yeah, they're part of some random, you know, record label and they get it the forum. So it's you know, it's a it's a lot easier when you're an artist than a comedian, you know, or an actor. Yeah, for sure. Now I want to get it the real way. I don't want to buy it. Yeah, for sure, but you know, I have I actually have the credentials for it now, so I have somebody working on it. So I should be getting it pretty soon and not to worried about it. But it doesn't everybody doesn't really matter because, I mean, you have a million followers, like whatout? I was that is going to valuateate you more. And what about like when you're walking around like Chicago or like you were just in New York. You people recognize you. Yes, what's happen? Like, it's funny. I enjoy unless I'm at unless it's like at the airport, like zero in the morning. That happened. Yeah, Oh, yeah, you know, what do they asked you to say, like your catch phrases. Sometimes, yeah, they want me to say on facetime or on their snapchats. I always do. I don't ever rechecked anybody for a picture. You know, I don't. Yeah, I'm not an I'm not an Asshole, you know. Yeah, what advice would you give people that like want to start doing what you're doing recently? Pretty much, you gotta do you gotta do what you believe in and you just gotta put it out there and you can't, can't care about what anybody says. You know, I look through my comments, you know, I'll see a literally I'll be one on top of another. He'll be one comment that says, Oh my God, I love this guy, this is the fucking this guy's a legend. You know it is, because the pets in the world and the one under it says, Yo, guys, a fucking Douche bag. Had Somebody killed this guy and I'm like all right, yeah, I mean, yeah, absolutely, you got the trolls and you got the you know, yeah, I feel you know, and then you got the you got. They got the trolls that will put it out on their their actual page, and got the trolls...

...with the fake pages, which are super trolls. Yeah, I don't know anybody who has time to, you know, sit by, anybody who has time to sit at their desk all day behind a private account and just talk smack the people probably needs to go see a doctor. Yeah, for sure, screws loose. Yeah, yeah, I know, like we were just talking about before, you want to be become like the committee, like a comedian, stuff like that, and you want to do like you're trying to do, like stand up right. Yeah, I look up to a lot of the old comedians, you know, I like I like old school comedy. All the new stuff is kind of whack to me. And I mean there's only one new comedian I like. You know, I like Kevin Art. Like his I like his energy. I like some other people. I like my one of my fair is Sebastian MANISCALCO. He's Italian guy from Chicago. He's he's funny. I like older comedians like Andrew Dice, clay from Brooklyn, and Richard Pryor, you know good the guys like that. You know. Yeah, like, you know, even like when, you know, Dean Martin used to tell he's to do his shows and stand up. Is this a better vibe? You know, but a lot of the young kids probably don't even know I'm talking about and I'm young. So that's you know for sure. So usually, like you like study them. No, I just watch and I laughed and I like, you know, I like, I just I don't only study, just as Admyer, you know for sure. You have you done any stand up shows? You Yeah, dudes, I do them in Chicago, I like open mics or the like. Book me for bars and stuff, and I'm starting to get booked in other cities. Let's do I just I just know that there's like I'm not. I just know that there's not really anybody that. Like, nobody has the same delivery as me, you know, and I don't. It's just different, for like, for sure. I mean are you? Are you talking about like the same stuff you talk about on like instagram? Most I mean, yeah, I use those as jokes and then I just kind of throwing...

...some news, you know, some random stuff on. They're depending on what I'm feeling or where I'm at. You know, what about what new projects you have coming up or collap I made a music video for my signature line. Doesn't make any sense. Actually some what good at making music to you. So I know I did it to more be funny. I'm not trying to be, you know, Tupac, but yeah, I can definitely wrap some bars out there. Oh yeah, isn't it how you originally started out? Yeah, back in like got some weird like Mark Wahlberg thing. You know, I use I used to, I used to rap a little bit and you know, I kind of I was always more of a funny guy. Yeah, then, no, then like a rap. I was like, yeah, this is dumb. Yeah, like telling jokes. I don't feel like. I don't feel like rap, and I'll get back to that. Yeah, definitely. How'd you get the name? Push Bobby? Is How you gotta because you were wrapping right. No, I mean I was trying to find a rap name or just like a cool screen name. When, you know, instagram came out and my brother was like you know, I actually was going to be champagne poppy, just to be funny, like, you know, as I noticed that was drake's instagram. Yeah, my brother was like it's he's like, I just be cush poppy. Yeah, smoke cush. I'm like, all right, sounds kind of Goofy, but it's catchy. I like it. And now everyone, now over one's calls you that. Yeah, and you're ready ready for some fun questions. Yeah, of course, bringing up who do? Who Do you want to Clab with? The two thousand and nineteen? Really, I don't I don't mind. You know, it's to me collabbing with people isn't gonna make a break my career. You know, I want to be in my own lane. So I like to focus on my own creativity and I've collad with a lot of the people I've wanted to collab with already. I mean there's maybe a couple more that are my friends. I just haven't had the schedule, you know, matched up yet. But it's nothing really crazy. You know,...

I celebrity you want to Clab with and do like a skit or something. I mean, I'm not picky. So it was like any of them are fine, you know? Yeah, yeah, she're just open anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're just laid back and chill. You're just like down for whatever. Yes, exactly. What about who had the biggest come back in two thousand and eighteen as far as like rappers or yeah, so thousand and eighteen. Yeah, to be honest, I'm not sure. Like I watch, I mean I watch all of them. They all if they're there, they're there. You know. I mean that all will be. I don't pay attention to like record sales and some spotify streams. You know, to me they're all just famous. You know, it's like it's just soldier boy or it's drake, the same person to me, you know. Yeah, for sure, like it's what's Cardi be and as whatever. You know, it's Nicki Mina. Yeah, twenty one, savage and Glucci mass all the same category. You know, they're all the same people. Yeah, all right, this will be the hard one. Top Five juices? Top five juices probably minute made simply lemonade. I like shoo, I like smoothies. Naked juice as good, and then I like freshly squeezed orange juice has some good stuff. You work, you're working on any either deals or like you're trying to make your own juice. I've been working. I worked with the Welch is a little bit. Yeah, I think ment made still stuck in one thousand nine hundred and five. You know, there's still playing hop scotch and stuff, but they don't really work with any any you know, public figures are athletes or nothing. You go on their page and it looks like a preschool commercial. So I don't really know if that's gonna do...

...work out, but for sure, I mean I feel like eventually someone's going to reach out to you, just like I don't know if you seen like a Marshall on Lynch was like big about the skittles. Then he got he was the first ever athlete to get a skills do. Yeah, but he's a NFL football. Yeah, but I'll get there. Yeah, yeah, you know, I'm telling you some some juice company is going to be like Yeo, we need you just I don't really want to talk about them. I actually have a big, big deal on the line with for Loco, okay, and that's not really I mean it's Hue, but it's got alcohol and it so I don't really know how I want to go about that, but they're will locals. Yeah, they're willing to cut the check. So I mean it might be a thing. Yeah, My Min's with mine as well. And Save someone. Save someone offered you like a certain amount of money to put them on to be like social media famous, like would you? Would you do that? Probably not right now. I'm still not where I want to be. You know. Never some I have a problem. I'm never satisfied with myself and I can get ten billion views and the next day I'll be like, what are we doing? Yeah, for sure, the work. People follow you at. Follow me on instagram and twitter, facebook. It's Cush POPPYK USHPA PI. I got a blue cubs jacket on in my profile picture and sure you'll enjoy what you see. It's a lot of crazy topics and I post a lot of videos. When's The music dropping? Probably within the next month, the next couple weeks. Just figuring it all out. You know. All right, we'll be on lookout for that for sure. Appreciate you coming on. Yeah, no, thank you very much. I appreciate it and pleasure to be on your and your little show and your station here. Never for sure,.
